Anna | Yoga Teacher...

My name is Anna, I am originally from a valley in the Swiss mountains and first qualified as a Yoga instructor in Thailand (RYT-200). I then furthered my education with another 100 hours in Yin Yoga here in Cardiff. With the long-term vision of making the gap between the body and the mind smaller, I am eager to expand my knowledge in both fields and beyond. What I love most about guiding classes is the endless creativity that it allows for and helping students to find ease within the challenges. 

Going into one of my more active classes, you should expect creative sequences, an emphasis on breath and alignment, and to be encouraged to explore limits. (I do have a penchant for sweaty practices and strong abdominal muscles). Complementarily I value the simplicity and effectiveness of Yin Yoga immensely, where it’s essentially all about releasing tension (Myofascial release) and calming the mind and body.

Especially in the Gym environment, we often tend to neglect the mobility and flexibility work among the strength training. Plus we keep forgetting the importance of winding our nervous system down in order to recover properly. I am thrilled to help contributing to well-rounded fitness routines!

Personal Yoga sessions are available at Cardiff PT Studio either on a one-to-one basis or in groups of up to 5. These sessions can be made with me directly or by contacting the studio with flexible pre-arranged times. Prices start from £16 for a one-to-one 30 minute session, but there are options for longer 45 or 60 minute sessions, and prices will reduce per person if in groups. 

If you buy a block of 5 of any of the above sessions you get a 6thfree!

We also offer small group Yoga Classesfor up to 5 people at 7.15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These are 45 minutes long and are £5 for your trial session and £9 afterwards. If you bring a friend to a class your next one will also be £5.Compared to a standard Yoga class these are much more specific to the student’s prerequisites, abilities and personal aims. 

The biggest priority is to let the yoga practice meet the practitioner where he/she is at in this very moment in time.
